EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA SKI COUNCIL SUPPORTS PHILLIES “RED GOES GREEN" INITIATIVE AGAIN! JOIN US THIS YEAR!

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

 

Note: All volunteers must be at the Citizen's Bank Park by 5:30 pm sharp!

Please email Janet Elliott directly if you/your ski club friends / family can volunteer for this event by no later than Saturday, July 16, and indicate if you will need a parking voucher(s). Also, please provide a mailing address for Janet to mail the Parking Voucher – send all the above info to Janet's new email address: janetelliott09@gmail.com  

 

IMPORTANT: Janet will need to send in the list of volunteer names to the Phillies for security purposes. If your name is not on the list by the deadline, you cannot participate and they won’t allow you to enter the park. The meal passes will be mailed to Janet and she will distribute to the group before the start of the game on August 7th. Our EPSC "Red Goes Green" team cannot exceed 100 participants, so start spreading the word and get those reservations in as soon as possible. Thanks!!

 

Background: The Philadelphia Phillies ask organizations in the area to form "Red Goes Green" teams to help in their recycling efforts by collecting recyclable plastic and aluminum bottles during Phillies home games. Only one "Red Goes Green" team is assigned to each game.

 

Our EPSC ski club member volunteers will receive the following:

Ø Free parking with Parking Voucher (Lot on Pattison Avenue located between Broad St and 20th St.  You may walk to the ballpark from this lot or take the free shuttle.)

Ø Free entrance to the August 7th game

Ø  Meal ticket worth $7.50 at the Park's food vendor stands

Ø View of the game while collecting recyclables

Ø Option to stay for the remainder of the game after the 7th inning

Ø Green apron (returned to Phillies at end of game), gloves, trash bags - PLUS, our Council and the 35 member ski clubs will be recognized in a pre-game announcement that night, too!

 

All volunteers must be able to stand the entire game and walk up and down steps between sections to collect recyclable plastic and aluminum bottles until the 7th inning. Volunteers between the ages of 8 and 16 are required to have one adult volunteer for every three children participating.
